The Groß family runs a well-known fish farm here under the company name "Rhönforelle". Anglers can pursue their hobby here in the fishing ponds. Lovers of fish sandwiches and fish in general can look forward to a real culinary delight.

There are two farms in Gersfeld that live from fish farming. The other fish farm, a little further down, in Altenfeld, is better for a stop. Here, at Fischzucht Groß, there is a fishing paradise that is well worth seeing and is always well visited. We always get our fresh fish here, from this fish farm. The salmon trout is particularly recommended, they really are a poem.
