The explanations refer to the former forced labor camp "Mariannenplatz"
remembered, a camp in which more than 500 forced laborers were imprisoned, the
were forced to work in the armaments industry at the "Bochumer Verein".
The plaque is an example of civic engagement to honor the
women and men abducted from their home countries.
