At the Gödeke farm you can buy beautiful sandstone sculptures from this quarry. Do very well in our garden.

The Osning sandstone in the Gödeke quarry was before
Deposited near the coast during the Lower Cretaceous 125 million years, similar to the sands on the beaches of
North and east Sea. It comes in this concise, ocher-colored expression exclusively in the Teutoburg Forest and
in the Egge Mountains. Since the 9th century he has been for
Buildings and architectural jewelry are used and still have an impact today
the facades of many older buildings. The Osning sandstone is therefore of great cultural and historical importance.
In the 19th century, the Gödeke family built this quarry,
initially to obtain natural stones for personal use.
From 1954 the company Blomeyer took over the quarry and
began with commercial mining and marketing
of sandstone as road gravel. In 1966 the company started
        set.
