The first cinema was opened in Uferstrasse in 1912 and operated as the Union Film Theatre until 1935.
The building was a warehouse for the Heinrichs furniture company for decades. It was later used as a gymnasium.
In the 1990s, a private cinema was set up again.
A highlight of the two-story plastered building with a pilaster-structured front and frontispiece is the facade with Art Nouveau ornaments, which was renovated using urban development funding.
