The Protestant town church, built by master builders Georg and Georg Veit Koch between 1763 and 1768, is one of the most beautiful rococo churches in Hesse and a pearl of the high baroque. The stately hall has a richly decorated pulpit wall made of stucco marble with side columns and rococo ornaments. There are double galleries on three sides, which end in two-story boxes in front of the chancel. Numerous grave monuments of the barons Riedesel from the 16th century come from the previous Gothic church.
