This is what Wikipedia says:
The present St. Otger Church was built from 1889 to 1892 and, until 1945, was a unified new building in the Neo-Gothic style according to plans by Hilger Hertel the Younger, a hall church with a pseudo-transept (cf. St. Nikomedes (Borghorst)) and a 102-meter-high tower. After being destroyed except for the outer walls in March 1945, the church was rebuilt. The tower, which, however, was significantly shorter at 74 meters, the outer walls, and the vaults of the choir and the two side choirs were preserved or reconstructed. The nave and transept received flat ceilings. Later, this reconstruction was supplemented with Gothic transverse arches and a semi-Gothic neo-Gothic color scheme. The windows, which initially remained without tracery, received tracery in a symmetrically free-form, roughly resembling a honeycomb. A crypt is located beneath the choir.
