A beautiful destination in both summer and winter. The route is doable for everyone, as a tarmac road or the dwarf shortcut leads up through the forest.

From buchelalpe.de:
The Buchel Alpe is located at over 1290m above sea level in the middle of the Allgäu Alps. From the nearby car park it takes about three quarters of an hour on well-paved paths and roads to Buchel Alpe. Once there, you will be rewarded by an unforgettable Alpine panorama, which the Tyrolean and Allgäu mountains stage very impressively and seem to literally mix together. The Buchel Alpe is run by the Gehring family, who not only look after the approximately 50 young cattle on the Alpe but also look after the physical well-being of their hikers. Hearty snacks, local cheese specialties, fresh buttermilk or homemade plaits and cakes from the wood-fired stove are just one of the many small delicacies that hikers can fortify themselves with.

There is also really delicious homemade cake. On 20.09.18 was the Viehscheid, on which the animals was beautifully decorated in the valley. The Alpe itself is run with love by the family, you can tell immediately. Also you can buy self-made lanterns.
