The largest church in Niederlausitz is a late Gothic three-nave brick building from the 14th century. The star vaults and pulpit as well as the high altar (1664) with splendid alabaster carvings are beautiful inside. In the nave and in the chapel extensions there are several significant grave monuments from the 16th and 17th centuries. Century. The view of the green city of Cottbus from the 55 m high church tower is worthwhile. cottbus.de/sehenswert/altstadtrundgang/oberkirchplatz_und_oberkirche_st_nikolai.html
