Hiking
Johannesstrasse was laid out in 1830 as a bridleway and Stuttgart's first boulevard, featuring a grand avenue. In 1870, it received its current name, fittingly, given that St. John's Church, completed six years later, stands at the end of the street and at that time still boasted a pointed steeple. The sidewalks are very wide, and the trees provide ample shade.
