This is a great mountain tour with a great view of the Teide and the entire caldera!

On the normal route from the Parador Nacional de las Cañadas you can easily reach the top of the Guajara (2718m) and enjoy a beautiful view over the caldera and the Pico del Teide. Ambitious is the way through the rock bands of the west flank. No supply to the starting point - so take enough water!

The flat summit offers a spacious rest area surrounded by a low, high stone wall, but with sufficient protection from the constantly whistling wind and views over the whole of Tenerife and the Pico del Teide.

Absolutely go down the road on the other side. One to two places a bit tricky, but even I as an inexperienced hiker did it very well ... The path is, however, drawn only dashed ... Rohter Wandeführer but marked ...

Experience the planet Earth in the "original state" and enjoy unbelievably beautiful views.

The Guajara (2,715 m) is the highest peak of the original crater. The ascent route is adventurous and exhausting. Once up you have a great view of the Teide, Canada and the islands of Gran Canaria, El Hierro and La Palma. Unforgettable. We recommend.

Guajara at 2,715m is a great hike. Follow the well marked trails to get the summit of this mountain. Superb hike.

You need enough time and fitness for the mountain tour from Villaflor. You should leave early, especially in winter. For the solo tour with breaks it took me about 10 hours for ascent and descent (22.2 km). With the Koomot I also took the Roth hiking guide, a compass, a hiking map, a headlamp and an emergency sleeping bag with me. Especially the last part of the hike through the Valle de Ucanca can be a bit confusing. Here you need good footwear, surefootedness and good orientation skills.
