The Baroque Church of Our Lady in brick and sandstone style dates from 1650. The miraculous statue of Our Lady with Child and the stained glass windows from 1924, which depict the history of the pilgrimage site, prove that Jesus-Eik was once a place of pilgrimage. .

In the Sonian Forest there was traditionally a peculiar, frightening oak, which as "Devil's Oak" played an important role in various local legends. To break through this, a Brussels butcher asked on his death bed to nail a Jesus statue to a neighboring oak, which led to the creation of the "Jesus Oak" in 1636. Due to the increasing number of pilgrims, the associated chapel was replaced in 1650 by the current baroque hall church. The remains of the oak and the chapel are under the main altar.
