In addition to swimming, the lake is also used for fishing and water and ice sports.
The lake was created by man around 1680 and is the oldest natural pool in the region.

There is also a nice playground and about 100 m further a new exercise area / playground is being created. It already looks great - but is not yet completely finished (as of April 15, 2020).
