Lake Elsenz is located on the southern outskirts of the village Elsenz. With a lake kiosk (currently being renovated, as of May 2020), a children's playground, a sandy children's beach, a beach volleyball field and sunbathing areas, Lake Elsenz is equipped with everything you need to spend a nice day.

In addition to swimming, the lake is also used for fishing and water and ice sports.

The lake was created by man around 1680 and is the oldest natural pool in the region.

The Elsenz rises little west of the outskirts of Elsenz and flows through the Elsenzer See. After a run of about 53 km, it flows through the Kraichgau and the Little Odenwald in Neckargemünd.
