The present-day Meinhardus ski jump was built in 1957 and extended in 1964, making it at that time the largest plastic covered ski jump in the Federal Republic. Regular international competitions took place until new FIS standards required demolition and rebuilding.
Since July 1982, the ski jump of the ski club Meinerzhagen, DSV and the Dutch national team is used.

Ski jump. Take a look, put yourself in the shoes of a ski jumper and quickly realize that you should rather stick to hiking ... ;-)

On the southern outskirts of Meinerzhagen, at 437 m above sea level, is the Agger spring, which is marked by a memorial plaque. From here the source of the Agger flows south and after a few kilometers reaches the well-known and named Agger dam. The young Agger accompanies the soaring high altitude even at the beginning and also flows around the romantic moated castle Badinghausen. In the further course the Agger flows into the victory after 69km.
