Here, Esrum's Channel met 2 parts, the upper and the lower, with a height difference of 7 meters. At the turn, the timber to be transported from Esrum Lake to the coast at Dronningmølle was reloaded by means of a slurry (overturning) from which the fire was fired.
In the lower part are also leftovers of a previous herb mill.
The channel itself was brought by 420 prisoners, peasants and soldiers who for a period of 3 years with shovels and wheelbarrows dug the bomb, nine kilometers long, nine meters wide and one and a half feet deep.translated by
