Numerous well-preserved boundary stones mark the course of the border between the Duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha and the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach.

In the Hörselberge forest (and further in Thuringia in the direction of Eisenach, eg Rennsteigweg) you can still see the old landmarks, which are sometimes directly on the way and mark the boundaries to the former adjoining estates. HSG stands for duchy Saxonia (Coburg) Gotha, KP for Kingdom of Prussia and SWE for Saxonia Weimar Eisenach and HSM for Duchy Saxonia-Meiningen.
