The bridge over the Oder-Spree canal is suitable for hikers and cyclists. A rolling surface for bikes next to the stairs makes it easier for cyclists to use. The bridge connects Schmöckwitz Werder with: the Gosener mountains, Gosen and the Gosener channel.

This bridge is called Schmöckwitzwerdersteg. It is the only bridge for pedestrians / cyclists across the Oder-Spree canal between Lake Seddin and Wernsdorf.

It is the only direct connection via the Oder-Spree Canal between Schmöckwitzwerder and Gosen. The bridge is only approved for pedestrians.

Today's bridge replaced a wooden bridge in the 1980s. Now its days are numbered, and a new pedestrian and cyclist bridge is currently being built right next to it.

Construction is currently underway here, the old bridge is still accessible.

The previous bridge is still standing (April 2022). A new pedestrian and bicycle bridge is being built right next door.
