Wildenbruch is a pretty Brandenburg village that has retained its village character. It was first mentioned in 1375 in the land register of Charles IV as Wildenbruke.

Today agriculture has receded and many farms are lovingly restored. Often by former Berliners who are now doing their jobs here or renting apartments.

The restaurant "Die Linde" is highly recommended.

Beautiful place with a massive stone church and typical Brandenburg country houses

It is not known when the school was built. However, the following description can already be taken from documents from the early 19th century (around 1830): "A school room, a cowshed and the teacher's apartment, all under one roof."

From the mid-1970s, the building was used as a residential building. At times there was also a post office and the fire brigade in an annex.

The red brick building was renovated in 2001, redesigned in 2005 and given to the community as a community center called the 'old school'.

The community center is located between the village church and the neighboring “Zur Linde” inn.
