The Stickle Barn has recently been taken over by the Lake District based Lanty Slee Liquor Company. They intend to maintain the pub and add their own twist to the building. There is talk of whisky being distilled in the valley!

Hiking

The National Trust-owned and run Sticklebarn pub in Great Langdale is the perfect place to stop after a long day out in the fells. Great food and drink and friendly service. In the summer there's often pizza, an open fire and music outside, and lots of seating both indoors and out. Keep an eye out for film nights or events held upstairs.
