Gloriously peaceful, Moel Sych is a subsidiary top of Cadair Berwyn in the Berwyn range. Lying to the east of Snowdonia National Park, the peak reaches 2,712 feet (827 m) and was historically thought to be the highest in the range before someone got a tape measure out and Moel Sych lost its spot to Cadair Berwyn by a cat’s whisker. Nonetheless, it makes for a fabulous adventure with sweeping views and a great, easy ridge walk.

    Hiking

Once thought to be the highest summit in the Berwyn Range, Moel Sych is actually the third highest behind nearby Cadair Berwyn's main and north summits. Still, at 2,712 feet (827 m) in height, it affords terrific views across this quiet part of upland Wales. Interestingly, the summit is the meeting point of the historic counties of Montgomeryshire, Merionethshire and Denbighshire.

Lovely place to be looking back over the main Berwyn range. Great views and a nice rest spot.
