The path begins on the federal highway and the Idarbach - as a section of the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig - and works its way through the Rosselhalde on a narrow path in very long serpentines with a slight incline.

There are several benches available to enjoy the view of the Idar Valley. It's amazing how some giant trees can hold on in the rubble.
