Krugsweiher Ponds

Wonderful, the nature here. You have just marveled at the Jägersee, but you will now find yourself at several small ponds. An idyllic spectacle in every season.

Along the pond there are several information boards with the animals, birds and amphibians living there

Some ponds have been used for biological secondary treatment at the Feucht sewage treatment plant since the early 1980s.The area is now a local recreation area and is under the responsibility of the market town of Feucht, which had boards erected in 2013 providing information about the rich flora and fauna. In the summer of 2016, the hiking trail “Hiking around the Krugsweiher and the Jägersee” was opened, which leads from the town center in Feucht around the Krugsweiher and the nearby Jägersee.[3]In 2012, the shooting of swans made headlines.[4] By law, the area was designated as the nearest hunting ground because of its small area, and hunting was therefore legally permissible. A complaint to the Higher Hunting Authority was unsuccessful.
