In the years 1738 to 1741 the castle Lindich was built on behalf of Prince Friedrich Ludwig. The building was built in Rococo style. The floor plan of the two-storey building is square. The castle is privately owned and can not be visited. In one of the six so-called cavalier houses is however an Italian restaurant (Monday and Tuesday rest day).

West of Hechingen, a bit out of the way is the pleasure and hunting lodge Lindich. Prince Ludwig had it built from 1738 - 1741 in Rococo style after French model. It is surrounded by six Kavaliershäuschen for the servants and the management. The plant is said to have served Duke Karl Eugen of Württemberg as a model for the construction of the Solitude. Famous personalities were guests here: Napoleon III, Uhland, Hector Berlioz, Franz Liszt. Princess Eugenie lived here before she moved into Villa Eugenia. Gone are the park's fountains, cascades, caves and sculptures. The stairs down to the game enclosure are overgrown and a perimeter arcade is also no longer available. The front garden between the castles and cavalier houses is crossed by four radial walkways. After the Second World War, the Lindich for a while housed a medicinal plant institute. The riot police has since withdrawn. Today, the Lindich is privately owned and a popular destination, easy to reach by bike, nice for walking. A restaurant with outdoor seating is often visited. Next door, the Hechinger riding club has its facility. The castle itself can not be visited from the inside.

Very nice hunting lodge. Unfortunately privately owned. But a free view from the gate into the castle garden is allowed.
