The Markthalle III in Berlin's Friedrichstadt was built in the first phase of the municipal construction program for the Berlin market halls between 1884 and 1886.The hall closed in 1910 because of unprofitable and then home to the Berlin Konzerthaus Clou, in which Adolf Hitler first appeared on May 1, 1927 as a speaker in Berlin. At the end of the Second World War, the building ensemble was largely destroyed.
