Spectacular pass like all the rest of the territory, you immerse yourself in the mountains and daydream!

The Umbrail is a beautiful pass, albeit a little overshadowed by its more famous neighbor. A tour from the Vinschgau up the Umbrail, over to Bormio and back over the Stelvio Pass is an absolute dream route that can only be recommended.
It's a bit of a shame that the road is now fully paved, until a few years ago the Umbrail was one of the few remaining road passes that was still gravel. But of course it is now much more pleasant to drive with the Renner - especially downhill!

Stelvio Pass up and then down the Umbrail Pass again. Just great.

Here you have your peace and can wind alone turn backwards around hairpin bends.

That's just a great track. You are physically challenged and move in a beautiful area. I can recommend the tour to anyone.

Simply wonderful to leave here if you drove up from Prad to the Stelvio Pass. Scenic beautiful.

    Only for mountain bikers:
From the Stelvio Pass up to the Rifugio Garibaldi (100 m ascent, very steep, push), eat/drink something there and then drive down the old military road/trail to the Umbrail Pass! From then on mostly back on the main road to St. Maria.

Usually not as busy as on the Stelvio. Enjoy the landscape and if you haven't gotten to the top, you should definitely take the Umbrail Pass descent.

In contrast to the Stelvio Pass, very green romantic pass

If you are coming from Prad to the Stiflserjoch, it is worth descending over the Umbrail Pass to Switzerland and past Glurns past Prad. Makes things a lot more relaxed from the descent, even if it gets a little longer overall.

The ascent to the Umbrail is also highly recommended in the opposite direction, in contrast to the Stelvio, the traffic here is limited.

I preferred the driveway over the Stelvio.

Single-track pass, which has meanwhile been completely tarred. Down in the woods. Overall, evenly steep.

The Umbrail is a nice pass to drive. At the pass there is a small museum / exhibition on the history of the world war and the fighting there.

Little brother of the Stilfser Joch - beautiful landscape and nothing going on (with me about 6 cars in 1.5 hours).
