The old Quinard tidal mill is located on the banks of the Rance, in its so-called maritime part because it is subject to the tides.
We find mention of the Quinard mill from the very beginning of the 19th century. Its water reservoir covered more than 2 hectares and was closed by a dike 450 meters long. At the end of the 19th century, the mill was enlarged and equipped with a steam engine (which explains the large fireplace). The activity of the mill will be stopped on December 31, 1924.
It was the largest of the mills on the banks of the Rance.
