It is an old tide mill built during the 19th century, located on the banks of the Rance. - It produced flour thanks to the force of the tides and a steam engine installed at the end of the 19th century. - It ceased to grind on January 1, 1925 and is currently used as an outbuilding of a farm. - It has a length of 47 meters and is built in schist with a slate roof. - It creates a particularly enigmatic atmosphere by emerging in the middle of the bay.

The old Quinard tide mill is located on the banks of the Rance, in its so-called maritime part because it is subject to the tides.
We find mention of the Quinard mill from the very beginning of the 19th century. Its water reservoir covered more than 2 hectares and was closed by a 450 meter long dike. At the end of the 19th century, the mill was enlarged and equipped with a steam engine (which explains the large chimney). The activity of the mill will be stopped on December 31, 1924.
It was the largest mill on the banks of the Rance.

After the construction of the tidal power station on the Rance estuary, the influence of the tides has been reduced. Nevertheless, the regular flooding characterizes this alluvial land with its vegetation and the characteristic furrows formed by the run-off of the water at low tide. The historical building immediately draws attention and at the same time is part of the rural-village environment.
