Wehrburg Castle stands on a hill above the castle village of Prissian and dominates the landscape. Two square towers characterize the complex, one of which served to defend the castle. Wehrburg Castle was built in the 13th century. The castle was converted into a hotel. For this reason, only the inner courtyard can be visited; the interior rooms are reserved for hotel guests.

The Wehrburg is since 1957 owned by the Holzner family from Prissian. The whole area is in good condition and as a hotel with a rustic flair in use, for the public but not freely accessible inside. Nevertheless, a great castle restored with great effort and preserved.
