The "Barßeler Roter Sand" is the small, 14 meter high replica of the famous lighthouse "Roter Sand" northeast of the island Wangerooge. It was built in 1986 and has since shaped the image of the Barßeler harbor.

The lighthouse does not have a real task here but conveys a real harbor feeling.
Especially after dark when he spreads his beacon for 3 hours.

The red and white striped lighthouse with a black conical base and a gallery around the lantern stands on a headland at the Barßeler boat harbor. It was built in 1986 by the Schifferverein "Gute Fahrt" Barßelermoor-Barßel and is one of the few real lighthouses in the inland.
