A wonderful piece of Ammerland, located just outside the southern entrance to Westerstede, is called the "Southern Westerstede Nature and Adventure Park," and here you can experience typical Ammerland nature in all its diversity. Parts of the park include the Garden of the Seasons, the Fikensolterfeld Nature Park, a wetland biotope, a forest garden, the Frisian Monument, the Ammerland Bird and Landscape Park, the former "Gerdkröger" customs station, the Knight's Walk, Fikensolt Castle, the Mansingen Castle Square, and the so-called Möhlenbült.
