We found the way over the Kunitz Bridge to the castle ruins very nice. It went through a lovely village center, past vineyards in the direction of the forest. From then on, the path meandered in serpentines, lined with hedges and trees, towards the ruin. In between there were benches to linger with with fabulous views of the Saale valley.

The Kunitzburg is just amazing. There is not much left BUT what is there is extremely charming and the view is priceless.
Whether you let your gaze wander through the walls or further down on the small plateau. Splendid. You can get up very easily from the hiking car park or via the ascent from Laasan.
