Gracht Castle

Today a castle, surrounded by a "garden work of art", and a haven for "leading management training", it was once not even a knight's seat, but just a side courtyard of the Buschfeld house. The Gracht Castle is typical of a Lower Rhine moated castle, consisting of a main and outer castle on two islands. Around 1700 a splendid baroque garden was added, "which not even the elector possessed in terms of diversity and beauty at that time". 1973 became the owner of the university seminar of the economy (USW), which transferred the seminar business 2004 to the European School of Management & Technology.

Today, the moated castle is used for patient treatment.
The private acute care clinic for psychiatry, psychotherapy, psychosomatics, and sports psychiatry is the first location of the Libermenta Clinics. A broad spectrum of psychiatric and psychosomatic disorders is treated there. A particular focus is on the treatment of stress-related consequences such as burnout, depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorders.

One of the most impressive moated castles on the castle, which is not exactly a poor water castle route, is the moated castle Gracht. The complex is divided into a three-winged outer bailey and a two-winged manor house, which today houses a private business university. The nine-hectare listed castle park with its old trees is freely accessible. Since the 1990s he has gradually returned to his original baroque ground state.
