On the way between Untersee and Mittelsee there are several possibilities to take a break. There are small benches overlooking the mid-lake. You may have to climb over a large tree to get to the other side of the river.

The Untersee is an artificially created body of water in Brühl, a town in the Rhein-Erft district in North Rhine-Westphalia. It is part of the villa lakes of the Rhineland Nature Park, which were created by mining lignite.
