Riederstein Way of the Cross

Good, short but steep piece, partly with steps... partly forest path... just a path of suffering. You will definitely be rewarded at the top of the chapel...with a great view.

Beautiful path over the 14 stations of the Passion of Christ, about which you can ponder on the ascent to Riederstein over the approx. 500 steps. The path leads past a rock formation with a Marian grotto.

The path to the Riedersteiner chapel goes from the Galaun over 500 steps and a crossroads with 14 panels from the year 1897. The way passes a grotto in which the bones of a poacher, Leonhard Pöttinger from St. Quirin, who had already disappeared in 1861, were found during the construction of the Stations of the Cross , Definitely worth seeing. At the top of the chapel the view is fantastic.
