Radweg am Spandauer Schifffahrtskanal

Very good, paved bike path with a view of the water. Never really full.

ATTENTION at night almost the entire north shore track is not lit. In some places, especially with road bikes caution is required by massive damage to the path through root system. All in all, still great track just because it is separated from the traffic to well over 90%. The pedestrian traffic is limited, but weekend, during the holidays or warm days especially at the allotments more hustle and bustle, even with free-range dogs. But there disturb the roots on the track more, especially in the district area Wedding to Tegel along the north shore bike path, here really looking forward partly driving straight at the allotment garden at Plötzensee difficult to see curve steeply going around. But worth it to drive and I recommend despite criticism very happy.

Very good road bike / skater track along the canal. Super asphalt, rarely really full.

Pretty many people here on the way. But with good reason!

On weekends in good weather, especially from noon very busy, rather early in the morning in the tour

Car-free entrance / exit to Schrebergarten and along the Hohenzollernkanal from Spandau to the center

Nice alternative to drive from the west back to the center or the eastern part of the city.

Nice track, good surface, sometimes quite full.

Two small notes The root system comes here and there more and more out of the asphalt. What is not too bad but it's better to dodge. Next, the track is almost completely unlighted at night. Therefore light on, for the safety of all people moving there.

Nice section of the Copenhagen cycle path right on the water. Small bumps can be found on this route and also often many pedestrians and other cyclists.

Great slope right on the canal. Some root elevations, but is kept within limits.

As I am a resident here, I would like to appeal to the racing cyclists among you. Please remember that pedestrians have priority here. Sometimes the behavior of some racing cyclists is so controlled that I regularly have to jump to the side with my grandchild so that we are not knocked over by a racing cyclist. I just expect more caution.

As with the other parts of the route on the Spandau shipping canal, little frequented during the week.
In some places the roots break through the surface.
Shade from the trees again and again, which provides some cooling at higher temperatures.

Definitely take it!
