Hiking
At the bridge you will learn a lot about the old port and the restoration of the bank wall.
At the bridge in Kapellenstrasse there is a place to stop for refreshments in the old harbor pub and there are several wonderful seating options on the shore.
Remains of the foundations of two slewing cranes are in the eastern part of this section.
If you go further east along the waterfront, you will come to the old port facility of the train.

Hiking
Even today, the structure conveys an impression of the city's economic importance as a transport hub on the rivers Danube and Wörnitz. The preserved wall remnants are among the few visible testimonies of the historic harbor and tell of Donauwörth's close connection to shipping.
