The jewelry square on the Kaiser-Friedrich-Promenade is part of the Bad Homburg Kurpark. The busts of Emperor Friedrich III stand in the curves of the oval square. and his wife Victoria of Prussia, also known as Empress Friedrich. The stately couple enjoyed such great popularity among the citizens that after the death of Emperor Friedrich III. built this keepsake. In 1892 the monument was unveiled in the presence of the widow on Schmuckplatz. Frederick III himself died in 1888 after only 99 days of reign. Ten years later, on the first anniversary of Empress Friedrich's death, her portrait was also placed here. The larger-than-life busts of the imperial couple were made of dazzling white marble by the Berlin sculptor Prof. Joseph Uphues.
