The terraced garden of the former Kamp Cistercian Abbey, which had fallen into oblivion on the southern slope of the Kamper Berg, was rebuilt in the late 1980s. The basic structures of this horticultural monument of the Rhineland were laid out around 1700 under Abbot Edmund von Richterich and generously expanded and embellished by his successors.
