Pretty garden with the Fountain of Quatre-Parties-du-Monde, created by Carpeaux.

This bronze fountain was built between 1867 and 1874. Designed by Gabriel Davioud, it was produced thanks to the collaboration of several artists. Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux created the group of Four parts of the world1 supporting the globe decorated with signs of the zodiac. They represent Africa (symbolized by a black woman), America (symbolized by an Amerindian), Asia (symbolized by an Asian2), and Europe (symbolized by a European woman), Emmanuel Frémiet produced the eight sea horses as well as the fish and turtles of the basin, Eugène Legrain sculpted the globe and the frieze of the signs of the zodiac, Louis Villeminot produced the frieze and the garlands adorning the pedestal.
