The briquette factory Louise is an exciting technical monument, which is received by a promotion association. Guided tours of the grounds (between 20 minutes and 1.5 hours) give an idea of the conditions under which coal dust workers made those briquettes that used to keep apartments warm. A great insight into the early industrialization history of Germany. Several times a year, the plant is put under steam. gehttp: //brikettfabrik-louise.de

The oldest briquette factory in Europe from 1882 is saved by an association from decay and even "almost" kept operational - many facilities are still functioning and are turned on during the leadership.
It is astonishing that many parts of the system were fully functional from 1882 to 1991 and were not renewed. Thus, only little electrification and much to the end of steam power over transmissions operated.
