This unique structure is simply stunning. The single-storey rotunda can be reached via a 350m long pier. This special construction was built in 1894 from cast iron. In 1914 a German attack destroyed the construction, the pier brante for the most part. It was restored in 1933, this time with concrete pillars. Between 1999 and 2003 Pier Blankenberge was completely renewed.

As early as 1894, the first cast iron pier was built here. In 1914 it was destroyed by fire for the most part and rebuilt in 1933. After a thorough renovation between 1999 and 2003, the unique building shines again in its former glory. The single-storey rotunda can be reached via a 350 m long pier and houses, among other things, a brasserie and a restaurant with a unique view of the beach and the sea.

Belgium's only pier is also easy to reach by bike. Only on the last piece you have to get off the bike.
