One of the most beautiful places along the tour through the animal enclosure is the large bear enclosure! It is always impressive to watch the bear family exploring the enclosure or when they take a dip in the pond. Especially when there are baby bears too. Sometimes, however, due to the size of the enclosure, a little patience is required until the bears show themselves.

As one of the largest land-dwelling predators on earth, it plays an important role in numerous myths and legends. It was decimated or eradicated in many places as a competitor for food and a threat to humans. There are only relict populations left in Western and Central Europe. Within the German-speaking area, only in Austria does a small group live permanently. Individual animals wander around in the Alps.
