A very pretty little church with simple decor. The unique location on the lake and the directly adjacent, former rectory complete the picture of this remarkable place.

A special gem is the St. Walburgis church on the Seeoner Klostersee, which has been restored by the Seeon-Seebruck community. It is a reminder of the numerous women who lived confidently here in the former nunnery hundreds of years ago.

Originally a monastery church of the Benedictine nuns in the 11th - 13th centuries, the church was built around 1470 over the Romanesque foundation walls of the previous building and declared a parish church in 1481. Instead of the Romanesque apse, the existing choir was built in in the 15th century. After a fire in 1561, the flat ceiling above the nave was replaced by a barrel vault with stitch caps. Presumably at the same time the masonry gallery was added.

The first uncoverings were made in 1913. With the donation of the "Leuchtenbergs" in 1969, the community became the owner of the Walburgis Church.

The first exterior renovations were carried out as early as 1983 and the restoration of the room setting began in 2003. The restoration made it possible to restore the spatial impression of the late 16th century.

Small church with nice cemetery. Interesting who is buried here.
