Between Sinzenich and Linzenich is the moated castle Burg Sinzenich, after which a family of knights was named that existed as early as the 13th century. In 1895 the castle complex burned down due to a lightning strike.
A Zülpicher manufacturer rebuilt the former southwest wing of the medieval outer bailey and part of the moat was also filled again. The ruins of the manor house stand east of the outer bailey in a pond that is now silted up.
