An adventurous, historic place that is worth seeing, right next to the children's playground (former bear enclosure) and near the Teutonia beer garden.

The small outer fort is now located in the "Friedrichsau" recreational park and is therefore familiar to many locals. It was built as a "lunette" (pentagonal shape) between 1852 and 1854 and consists of earthworks on the front and flanks. It was intended to secure the eastern forecourt on both sides of the Danube. Parts of the redoubt were reinforced with concrete in 1914 as part of the reinforcement work and then served as a fuel depot. The original surrounding moat was filled with rubble after the war. Since the bear enclosure was built or added on until 2003, this area near the Danube and the stadium is still a popular destination for families today thanks to its playground.
