Beautiful place at the foot of the Ehrenbürg and a well-known and popular place in the holiday region "Franconian Switzerland" with numerous old half-timbered buildings.

The current baroque church was built in the years 1765/67 as the work of the Bamberg master mason Martin Meyer after the model of the church of Buttenheim. This church is consecrated in 1776. It will be followed by other conversions, u.a. the plant of the outside staircase 1796-1803.
The interior of the present building is baroque shaped, i.a. through the altars and the pulpit of the Bamberg sculptor Martin Mutschele in the middle of the 18th century. Further modifications take place in the middle of the 19th century.

Kirchehrenbach is a charming little town in Franconian Switzerland at the foot of the Ehrenbürg (Walberla) on the eponymous Ehrenbach stream, east of the A73 between Forchheim and Ebermannstadt. Kirchehrenbach was first mentioned as Arinbach in 1089 and belonged to the Bishopric of Bamberg until 1803. It became part of the Kingdom of Bavaria during the Napoleonic Wars. The picture by Lukas shows the Catholic parish church of St. Bartholomew in Kirchehrenbach. It is a Baroque religious building. A visit is worthwhile. Enjoy! :-)
