    Hallenburg Castle was the residence of the Counts of Schlitz, lies southeast of the old town of Schlitz and emerged from a fortified estate. Friedrich Wilhelm Graf von Schlitz called von Görtz had the baroque palace built on the site from 1706 to 1712.
