The passage from the Wollzeile to the Lugeck has existed since the 17th century. Today there are various shops in the narrow passage. According to legend, a dragon ("worm") is said to have lived in one of the cellars, which gave off a terrible stench. Since "taste" also stood for smell, the through-house was quickly renamed "Tasting Worm-Hof". Another story tells of a girl who lived in one of the houses. When her admirer threw up a bouquet of flowers at the window, she dropped it contemptuously. The flowers landed between the claws of the golden alligator - the guild symbol of the bag maker in the same house.
