It's always a worthwhile goal for those who just want to get out of town quickly and clear their head while looking at the water. The lake was created artificially when the Cloppenburg bypass was built by removing sand at this point - but nature has conquered this body of water and so a variety of observations can be made again and again. And so just being there, sitting and looking at the water is simply good.

A wooden footbridge leads across the surface. I don't think it's bad.

The approx. 5 ha large lake was created by removing sand that was needed for the expansion of the Cloppenburg bypass. Today the lake is used by anglers as a fishing water.

The Soestenradweg to Ambürener See has just been completed. It is worth it .. Pure nature.
