Capuchin Mountain
The students of the Capuchin Monastery were allowed to take a long walk once every two weeks. As far as their sandals would carry them, provided they were back in time for the evening practice. The Capuchins were not allowed to have a watch, let alone wear it. Therefore, the "Blanket" (the senior of the group) was given a club of a pocket watch. The walks usually went to the Loonse and Drunense dunes. The region has retained a historical name from the walks of the students. In the middle of the sand drift, the "Kapucijnenberg" is a reminder of the students' antics

Probably the highest elevation in the national park allows a somewhat broader overview of this wonderful landscape through one or the other gap between the trees.
