A piece of desert in Holland: this is Loon and Drunen Dunes National Park. The dunes formed here more than 10,000 years ago. They were classified as a national park in 2002. Sometimes called the "Brabant Sahara", temperatures can reach up to 50 degrees during the day and drop below zero at night. As you can imagine, they are home to very special flora and fauna.
